##Main responsibilities of the organizations are:

1.	To carry out all necessary activities pertaining to customs in relation to import and export of goods to and from the Maldives and to maintain all the concerned accounts
2.	To operate and manage activities of collecting import duties and export duties

The Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) is an agency established under Section 1-21(h) of the Judicial Service Commission Act to plan and administer the general administration of the judiciary. With the re-establishment of this department under this section of this Act, the previous department under the same name has been abolished. Also, its staff, other resources and financial responsibilities have been transferred to this department. This Department is the responsible office of the State entrusted with the responsibility of managing the financial affairs of the State Offices within the jurisdiction of the State Finance Act as per Article 45 of the Finance Act.

The Communications Authority of Maldives has the mandate of regulating the communications sector, creating an environment conducive for promoting competition in communications services and developing these services in accordance with the national policies. The communications sector includes telecommunications, post and Information Technology.

The Authority is run by a Board of Directors who is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Maldives Telecommunications Act 2015, Communications Authority of Maldives Act, and any laws and regulations that are applicable to the sector. The Regulatory Board may delegate the powers and functions of the Authority to a division, section or person working for the Authority.

The Chief Executive is empowered by the Board for implementing its decisions in accordance with the Telecommunications Act and Communications Authority of Maldives Act.

Core business includes power generation, distribution and retail.

STELCO operate 15 power system in 18 islands, providing electricity to 46% of the population of the country. Each power system is independent with its own power generation and distribution infrastructure.

STELCO has its largest operation in Male', the capital of Maldives, with an installed capacity of 38.76MW, and a 26 km underground 11kV distribution network feeding power to 99 distribution transformers to provide electricity to 25,942 customers.

A meteorological service was established in Maldives in the early 1940s. It was first started with only a maximum and minimum thermometer, a rain gauge and an anemometer. The observations were done at a few times daily and the data was supplied to only a few parties. After 1974, Met office adapted to the international standard, SYNOP reports were done twice a day and the METAR reports were done from 5 am to 8 pm in addition with one upper air observation. The sea area forecasts and the route forecasts were prepared by the Colombo Observatory and sent to the Meteorological Centre via a SSB radio transceiver. Working under different offices of the government throughout the years, meteorological office became Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) in 2009. Today, MMS is responsible for the seismological and meteorological services in Maldives. There are 5 Meteorological offices under MMS, the station in Hulhule’ being the main office. Aviation and synoptic observations done in the other four stations are sent to the Hulhule' station on their respective time via email or fax. Each of these stations are now working on 24/7. In addition to these stations, there are 20 automated weather stations and 3 tide gauges installed across the country which provides real time data to MMS.

The National Drug Agency (NDA) is mandated under the Drug act of 2011 to carry out all activities in relation to Drug rehabilitation, reducing demand and preventing drug related harm. NDA is the only institute that currently provides drug treatment and rehabilitation services in the country. NDA's priorities include strengthening preventive mechanisms of drug use, expanding treatment capacity and services to increase treatment effectiveness through a public health approach.
